Below are answers to some common questions about the Vertical PWC Lift product.

How can I tell the carrying capacity of a lift?

The first two numbers listed in the model number indicate the capacity in hundreds of pounds.

How can I tell the width between the posts of entry on a lift?

The last two numbers listed in the model number indicate the inches between the posts of entry, prior to the installation of optional load guides.

How can I identify a used lift if the seller doesn't have the model number?

On what corner of the lift can the winch be mounted?

The left, front or right, rear on aluminum and right, front or left, rear on steel.

What is the minimum water depth a lift will need to operate?

Approximately 12"-14" plus the draft of the boat.

What is the maximum water depth a lift can be used?

The standard lift leg can be used in up to 4 ft.
The extension leg can be used in up to 6 ft. of water.
The deep-water lift models can be used in up to 9 ft. of water.

What lift parts need lubrication?

The threads of the winch drive shaft, winch cable, and drive chain.

How do I know when to replace the cables?

Fraying is a sign that cables need to be replaced.

Can I replace my lift's cables?

Please contact a ShoreStation® dealer for this service as they have experience at replacing cables and have the opportunity to attend our schools which cover this type of service.

Can I assemble the lift myself?

We suggest having a dealer or installer do the assembly as they have the training and experience to do so; they most often also have the tools to place the lift in your desired location.
